Speaking Engagement: BSidesLV 2014
I will be speaking at BSidesLV this August; my talk is titled: "Cluck Cluck: On Intel's Broken Promises". This talk will cover a CPU/x86 architecture bug on most recent systems (2004-present) that provides an OS independent method to break out of virtual memory. The lesson I hope to impart of my audience is that in adding a new performance feature to their systems, Intel broke a previous security guarantee and for future system designers to be aware of the security implications of feature creep.
Hope to see you out there for either Black Hat, BSidesLV or Defcon. If you are attending any of the above and would like to meet up for a bite or a drink to chat, please do not hesitate to ping me on my Twitter (@JacobTorrey).
